Shifting on the graduate medical education that transitioning from traditional structural knowledge into competency based medical education has become the primary focus, current adopted principle and to aim for better patient care and outcome. The principle of competency based education put its emphasize on the students, the mastery of the contents and the application of the contents.

Developing a curriculum has to align on building the framework of competency and education for the acupuncture and traditional medicine. Ensuring that the education model is to focus on developing the competency of its learners.

I know you shared the competency framework at the last CCAHM meeting and some comments and feedback went back and forth. Are we able to pick up the discussion again at the meeting later today? This is really important work that the CCAHM is the right group to carry forward, as it’s an educational framework that supports all of our schools and programs.
