The August 2021 letter states that the institution “is free (and encouraged) to ask questions and express any concerns about proposed site visitors, and ACAOM will do its best to answer questions and resolve its concerns (emphasis added). As was previously communicated, ACAOM will not proceed with a pending site visit unless or until there is unequivocal, unconditional mutual written agreement regarding the site visit team’s composition.

ACAOM finds that the only reason you approved the proposed site visit team was because ACAOM required the approval to be both unequivocal and unconditional, and that you believed you could not raise issues about the team members. In other words, the institution indicated that approval of the site visit team was essentially being made under duress.

Unfortunately, with only six weeks remaining before the scheduled visit, there is not enough time to find a replacement visitor and properly prepare for the virtual visit. Therefore, the visit is cancelled and will be rescheduled for Spring 2022.
